I am sure that the PA is ultimately onboard with a desire to see Israel replaced with a Palestinian entity. However, the source of this specific report is kind of fuzzy. The only alleged copy of the map in question I could find was on Weasel Zippers and this is not attributed to the actual map being distributed; all other source searches refer to the PLO Mission's logo, which has never acknowledged the existence of Israel. I don't think this is a new PLO logo; it reflects the position of the PLO since its founding.

In sum, Arutz7 and CBN are not really great sources, as both are a bit biased towards histrionics in their reporting. The general atitude of the PA is certainly not in dispute. However, this particular map might exist, but I don't think we have seen it.

ArutzSheva are morons, and I'm pretty sure they make shit up.

However, in the course of hunting for a pretty necklace with a map of Israel on it, I have discovered that there seems to be a pretty clear folk understanding of what the borders of Palestine are.

With a history of maps at the UN missing Israel I wouldn't doubt some truth in this story. Lets see if the MSM picks this up.

Hey SFF - is that your blog? I like the name of it; it has a certain alliterative rhythm.

The facts of this article are verifiable through other sources. That's the only time I use Arutz Sheva. Sometimes an article will come and go on Ynet or Jpost, and it hangs around for a bit on Arutz Sheva, and by then I've decided it's newsworthy. We all know that the PA and Hamas view their eventual country to stretch from the Jordan to the Mediterranean, everything in between.

Again, I in no way doubt the PA's and Hamas' ultimate goals, and fully agree that their view of the regional map does not include Israel. My doubt is directed squarely at the issue of whether there is clear documented proof that the PA were handing out maps at the UN reflecting this.

You may have to wait a few days. But the activity is so prevalent, it's harder to believe it didn't happen. The PA is very good at this type of thing.
